Celebrate the Holidays at Disneyland Resort: New Magic Awaits!

The holidays are a special time to gather with family, enjoy traditions, and give thanks. For many, celebrating the Holidays at Disneyland Resort makes this season even more magical!

If you’re planning a trip to experience the holidays and see the debut of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland, mark your calendars! The holiday season at Disneyland Resort runs from November 15, 2024, to January 6, 2025. Get ready for a magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth!

New Holiday Fun in 2024

This year, Santa Claus and some special characters will be at the Fantasyland Theatre at Disneyland. Guests can enjoy activities like cookie decorating, craft making, and listening to stories. Plus, there will be festive music throughout the day. You can also catch Santa at other spots like Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in Disney California Adventure, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel, and Pixar Place Hotel until December 24. And don’t forget, Santa will also appear in the finale of “A Christmas Fantasy Parade” at Disneyland!

Mickey and Minnie Mouse will debut charming new holiday outfits this year, inspired by the tradition of writing warm letters to loved ones. Plus, you’ll see other characters in holiday outfits on Main Street, U.S.A., Buena Vista Street, and all around Disneyland.

From November 22, 2024, to January 1, 2025, guests can enjoy the new Chip and Dale’s Ornament Trail in Downtown Disney District. This fun activity lets you search for ornaments hidden among the holiday decorations. You can buy an activity map and, when you’re done, redeem it for a special holiday keepsake.

Guests can also indulge in limited-time holiday-themed foods and drinks throughout Disneyland Resort. Returning favorites like Mickey Gingerbread will be back, along with the popular Holiday stainless steel tumbler.

Starting November 19, “Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates the Holidays!” at Disneyland Hotel will be a hit with guests. Plus, for the first time, Mickey’s Holiday Pajama Party breakfast and brunch at Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will offer festive meals with select characters in holiday pajamas. Reservations will be available on Disneyland.com later.

Returning Holiday Magic

Disneyland Resort will be filled with beautiful holiday decorations, perfect for family photos. Guests can enjoy holiday stories about Walt Disney and his family during the Holiday Time at the Disneyland Resort Guided Tour, which includes holiday treats and reserved viewing for “A Christmas Fantasy Parade.”

All three Disneyland Resort hotels will have festive decorations, including a massive gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and new decorations at Pixar Place Hotel. The hotels will also offer in-room celebrations, special activities, and holiday entertainment.

At Tenaya Stone Spa, guests can book relaxing holiday-themed experiences like the Underneath the Tree Signature Massage and Warmth of Holiday Foot Treatment. Staying at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels is a great way to keep the holiday magic going, as they are just steps away from the theme parks and Downtown Disney District.

A special Disneyland tradition is watching “snow” fall and fireworks light up the night during the “Believe…In Holiday Magic” show, which will happen every night at Disneyland. Guests can also experience snowfall along the Rivers of America, outside of “it’s a small world” Holiday, on Main Street, U.S.A., and at the west end of Downtown Disney.

At Disney California Adventure, the “World of Color – Season of Light” show will feature dancing fountains and festive music, with shimmering “snowflakes” filling Paradise Bay.

Seasonal Attraction Overlays

Some attractions will get holiday makeovers, like “it’s a small world” Holiday, which takes guests on a world tour of holiday cheer. The Haunted Mansion will transform into Haunted Mansion Holiday, inspired by “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.” In Cars Land at Disney California Adventure, Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree will be decked out for the holidays.

Disney Festival of Holidays and Disney ¡Viva Navidad!

The Disney Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure is back, celebrating the diverse holiday traditions of Southern California with festive food, drinks, and live entertainment. Guests can try new and returning dishes from the Festive Food Marketplaces or buy a Sip and Savor Pass for tasty treats.

The Disney ¡Viva Navidad! celebration will also return to Disney California Adventure’s Paradise Gardens, featuring daily crafts, live music, and menu items inspired by Latin American traditions. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, The Three Caballeros, and Mirabel from “Encanto” will make special appearances.

The Disney ¡Viva Navidad! street party will feature The Three Caballeros, folklórico dancers, mariachis, samba dancers, and more. When the street party isn’t happening, guests might see Mirabel from “Encanto” or Miguel from “Coco” in festive performances celebrating the holidays and the importance of family.

Following its opening at Walt Disney World earlier this year, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open November 15, 2024 at Disneyland park in the newly renamed Bayou Country.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Opens November 15

Alongside the holiday festivities, the much-anticipated Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open at Disneyland on November 15, 2024. Guests can join Princess Tiana and jazz-loving alligator Louis on a journey through the bayou, filled with original music, new versions of favorite songs, and intricate details that bring Tiana’s story to life.

This attraction continues the story of Princess Tiana, adding to the experiences you can already find at Disneyland Resort, like shopping at Eudora’s Chic Boutique and dining at Tiana’s Palace.

We can’t wait to celebrate the holidays with you at Disneyland Resort and welcome you to the bayou soon!
