Hey Disney fans! 🌟🛳️ Big news is coming from Disney Cruise Line! We’re gearing up for three exciting days of announcements about our brand-new ship, the Disney Destiny, set to sail in late 2025 from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. From July 30 to August 1, 2024, keep an eye out for all the amazing details about this fantastic addition to our fleet!
Day 1: A Hero’s Journey Awaits!
First up, we’re super excited to share some hero-inspired spaces and experiences on the Disney Destiny, all based on your favorite Disney and Pixar movies!
A Feast Fit for a King
Get ready for an unforgettable dining experience at Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King. This one-of-a-kind restaurant will bring the magic of “The Lion King” to life through incredible music and storytelling. While you enjoy your meal, live musicians will play the classic tunes from the movie, like “Circle of Life” and “Hakuna Matata,” using cool African instruments. It’s going to be a dinner and a show all in one – a truly epic experience!
Sweet Treats with a Twist
Say hello to Edna Á La Mode Sweets – our new dessert spot inspired by Edna Mode from “The Incredibles.” This sweet shop will look just like Edna’s fashion lab, but instead of making outfits, she’ll be making delicious treats! Enjoy handmade gelato, ice cream, cookies, and candies in a fun, fashion-themed setting. And keep an eye out for awesome sculptures of Edna and Jack-Jack!
Fuel Up for Adventure
Right off the Grand Hall, you’ll find two cool cafés to grab a snack and drink. Café Megara will have a “Greco disco” design inspired by Disney’s “Hercules,” while Café Merida will feature a Celtic theme inspired by Pixar’s “Brave.” Perfect spots to fuel up before your next adventure!
Heroic Staterooms Await
On the Disney Destiny, your stateroom will be a luxurious retreat where you can rest and dream of exciting adventures. Our spacious rooms are designed with families in mind, featuring comfy beds and split-bath options. Plus, some rooms have connecting doors so you can easily stay close with extended family or friends.
