Exploring NEW Meeting Venues for Convention Groups at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

Here is a sneak peak at the major expansion and exciting enhancements coming to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort for meeting and convention attendees! The dramatic transformation of this Disney convention hotel will make it even more appealing to meeting, conference and convention planners as well as their attendees. 

Let’s take a look at what’s coming soon to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort for meetings and events:

Upper Lobby, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

Lower Lobby, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

Already underway, the expansion at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort will encompass several new features, including a two-story, grand lobby. Upon arrival, attendees will enter through a new upper lobby, located on the second level of the resort. Attendees will experience an open floor check-in process, where there will also be communal areas for connecting and working.

From this vantage point, attendees standing in the upper lobby balcony will overlook the lobby below. The lower lobby will offer a 16-seat lounge and morning coffee bar – a great way for attendees to convene and rejuvenate before meetings. In the evening, the coffee bar will transform into a nighttime bar and lounge as a convenient space for networking after meetings.

The expansion will also include a new 12,000-square-foot event lawn—adding to the resort’s current 220,000 square feet of dedicated meeting, event, and exhibition space. Attendees will be able to enjoy a lakeside view for a reception, group picnic, or dinner event in the new event space. When complete, attendees can conveniently connect to other areas of the resort via a series of bridges and covered walkways that pass through an outdoor island oasis.

In the meantime, attendees can convene in the recently-updated outdoor event space, Casitas Courtyard. This charming, private patio, now featuring overhead globe string lights, is located near the convention center. This space can host 25-200 attendees for a breakfast, lunch, or dinner buffet, or 25-400 attendees for a reception.

These are just a few of the many exciting, new enhancements coming to the Disney convention hotels for meeting and event attendees.
